Root Chervil -- Chaerophyllum Bulbosum

Another classic of European ancient vegetables, now widely used in permaculture gardens.  A giant plant of the carrot family that produces small (5 cm or so) carrot-shaped roots with a delicious flavour reminiscent of chestnut.  The only trick is to keep them in a cool place for at least a month.
